Get Android notifications on your Apple Watch
Install KeepMyWatch on your Android phone and on the watch, pair them by scanning a code, and allow notification access once. From then on, notifications from every app on the phone arrive on the watch with the app’s icon, each one once.
What arrives, and what you can do
Tried on Samsung Galaxy S26 and S24 phones with an Apple Watch Series 9:
| On the phone | On the watch |
|---|---|
| Notifications from every app | Arrive with the app’s icon, each once |
| Apps you switch off in KeepMyWatch | Stay off |
| WhatsApp chats you muted | Skipped, as on the phone |
| A notification with a reply option | Reply from the watchTried with WhatsApp. |
| Phone and WhatsApp calls | Shown, with Decline |
Text messages are notifications from your messaging app, such as Google Messages or Samsung Messages, so they arrive the same way.
Set it up
- Install KeepMyWatch on the Android phone from Google Play, and on the watch from the App Store on the watch.
- On the watch, open KeepMyWatch and tap Pair phone. On the phone, scan the code it shows.
- When Android asks, allow notification access.
- Set the app’s battery use to Unrestricted so notifications aren’t held back (see the battery guide).
Until the apps are in the stores, sign up on keepmywatch.com for one email when they are.
How they travel
Each notification is locked on the phone with a key only the phone and the watch share, sent over the internet through a relay that can’t read it, and opened on the watch. The watch needs Wi-Fi or cellular, not Bluetooth. If one is late, see late or missing alerts.
