Which Apple Watch and Android phones work?

Short answer

An Apple Watch Series 4 or newer with watchOS 10 or later, set up once with an iPhone, and any phone with Android 13 or later. So far KeepMyWatch has been tested on Samsung Galaxy S26 and S24 phones with an Apple Watch Series 9.

What has been tested

Samsung Galaxy S26 and S24 phones with an Apple Watch Series 9, including overnight, after a phone restart, and with the old iPhone switched off. Other phones and watches that meet the list above are expected to work the same way, but haven’t been tried yet.

Wi-Fi or cellular watch

A cellular watch works anywhere its plan works. A Wi-Fi watch works on networks it already knows, and away from them through your phone’s hotspot, which a Samsung routine can switch on when the phone leaves Wi-Fi (see the hotspot guide).

Phones other than Samsung

Most brands have a battery setting that can hold apps back. Set KeepMyWatch to Unrestricted or Don’t optimize; the app opens that screen for you. The battery guide shows the Samsung steps.
